The Essence of Aromatherapy
Linked to various rituals and religious practices, one of the most primitive forms of medicine ever used involved burning aromatic plants in order to smoke out an illness. As a therapeutic supplement, the healers would frequently mix in mind-altering substances during the ceremonies, creating a mystical, unearthly experience.
